About Dr. Joe Weinstock

Dr. Weinstock is among the most well-known and respected Ophthalmologists in Canada. He is recognized as a pioneer in laser eye treatment in Canada and in 1990 was the first Ophthalmologists in Ontario and the second in Canada to use the Excimer laser for vision correction.

A physician for over twenty years, Dr. Weinstock is an Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

In addition to his membership in the Canadian Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he has held many prestigious positions in both Canada and the U.S.A. Holding licenses to practice in the Province of Ontario and the States of Iowa and New York, he is active in many associations including the Canadian Implant Society and the Canadian Society of Oculoplastic Surgery.

Doctor Weinstock has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Refractive Surgery. He has taught and lectured at the University of Toronto as well as guest lectured at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery conferences. He has also mentored several prominent Ophthalmologists on the use of the Excimer Laser.
